Why regular donors matter
More than half of platelet recipients at hospitals are cancer patients, and a donated platelet lasts just 5 days. Hospitals need a steady supply of regular donors to keep platelets available. Fountain Bio is licensed by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and works alongside hospitals’ existing blood supply. Their community of regular donors provides the resiliency layer that helps ensure no patient waits or has care delayed because of a shortage.
How it works
Schedule a donor eligibility screening
Sign up at www.joinfountain.health to book a 20-minute screening appointment at Fountain Bio’s Burbank donor center to find out if you are safe and eligible to donate platelets.
Donate regularly in Burbank
About 90–120 minutes in a private suite with WiFi, a Smart TV and healthy snacks. Platelets replenish fast, so eligible donors can give up to 24 times a year. Fountain Bio’s medical team determines eligibility.
Reinvest in your health and fitness
CrossFit Montrose members receive a $50 membership credit after their eligibility screening and a $150 credit after every completed donation. Credits apply directly to your CrossFit Montrose membership, so you’ll need to be signed up with CrossFit Montrose to receive them. They are non-refundable for cash and non-transferable.
